Florian van Dellen

Florian recieved his Bachelors's and Master's degree in Health Science and Technology at the ETH Zurich, with a specialization in Medical Technologies.

After a research internship at the Rehabilitation Engineering Laboratory (ETH Zurich) investigating balance control and an exchange semester at the Reijksuniversteit Groningen, he joined the Research Department of the Swiss Children's Rehab for his master's thesis. For his thesis, which Florian successfully completed in August 2020, he investigated heterogenous kinematic responses of children to guided pelvis movements during robot-assisted gait therapy. Florian got awarded with the best bachelor degree in Health Science and Technology as well as an Excellence Scholarship of the ETH Zurich for his Master's studies.

Florian joined the SMS Lab as an external PhD student in February 2021. He will continue working in the Research Department of the Swiss Children's Rehab to personalize robot-assisted gait therapy for neurorehabilitation using computer vision and data science approaches.​
