Manuel Fujs
Manuel was born in 1996 in Austria and moved to Munich in 2016 to start his studies in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at TUM. In his bachelor thesis he developed an autonomous search drone for avalanche victims at the Autonomous Systems Lab at ETH. During his master's degree, he focused his work on robotic systems and machine learning tasks in applied robotics.
He joined the SMS lab for a research internship before conducting his master thesis where he worked on novel bedding sensors to detect the lying position of users during sleep.
Since 2022 he is working as an engineer in the sleep research team, helping in the further development of the Somnomat bed.
During his free time, Manuel can be found kitesurfing, climbing, biking or skiing in the Austrian and Swiss mountains.
