Michael Haldimann
Michael Haldimann received his Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Bern University of Applied Sciences and his Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Bern, specializing in Image-Guided Therapy.
For his Master's thesis, he worked on the eClimber, a novel climbing system designed to provide body weight support for climbers. His contributions led to a successful European patent application and subsequent grant.
As a doctoral student, Michael is researching robotic gait rehabilitation. As part of an
external page SNF-funded project, he is developing a mobile gait rehabilitation robot with active arm support. In addition to his academic research, he is actively involved in the industrialization of the eClimber through a spin-off company, bridging academic research and commercialization.
His research interests include robotic control systems and software development with a particular focus on rehabilitation technology.
