Roland Auberger

Roland Auberger received his diplolma in “Mechatronics” in November 2002 at the Johannes Kepler University Linz, Austria. He wrote his thesis on “Conception and development of joints for a robot in medical applications” at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) in Oberpfaffenhofen, Germany in the year 2001.  After his graduation he worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Robotics at the Johannes Kepler University Linz. His field of research was biomechanics and control of prosthetic legs. Since September 2004 he is working in the research and development department of Ottobock Healthcare Products GmbH, a leading company in prosthetics and orthotics. His research focuses on intelligent orthotic systems, biomechanics and control.

In November 2015 he joined the SMS Lab as an external PhD student.
