At the Sensory-Motor Systems lab, the first weekend in September was predominated by the topic of external page art and science.
Members of the SMS and the Robotic Systems Lab went to Tenna, Graubünden, to show how robotics research can be embedded in the landscape of the Swiss Alps. Under the umbrella of this year’s external page Art Safiental with the quite fitting theme Analog/Digital, we took two of our robots – the Myosuit and the Anymal – on a robotic hike. Beyond that, scientific topics such as the discretization of human movement through motion capture were realized artistically in a synaesthetic dance performance.
