6th Congress of the International Rock Climbing Research Association

Our congress will take place between August 7 and August 10, 2023.

An overview on the program is listed below. In addition to the keynotes, 42 oral presentations are scheduled (12min plus 3min for discussion) and 7 posters will be presented during lunch breaks. In addition, we organize a panel discussion on how climbing can benefit from research, a special session with coaches, a workshop on data acquisition in speed climbing, a talk by a external page special guest, the IRCRA General Assembly and a side event in a climbing gym.

Between August 1 and 12, the external page Climbing World Championships will also be held in Bern, with finals especially on the weekend before and after the congress. Tickets can be purchased directly from the organisers of the World Championships.
