The Swiss Robotics Day is Switzerland’s most comprehensive exhibition on robotics for service sectors. The event is based on a historically successful conference format with a trade-fair feel. Myosuit received the second prize of the European Robotics Forum “ERF2021 Technology Transfer Award”
The Myosuit, which was developed by the SMS Lab and is now being sold by the ETH Spin-off MyoSwiss has received the second prize of the European Robotics Forum “ERF2021 Technology Transfer Award”. Awardees are Jaime E. Duarte (MyoSwiss), Kai Schmidt (MyoSwiss), Michele Xiloyannis (ETH Zurich), Luca Renato Traini (University Hospital of Zurich) and Robert Riener (ETH Zurich).
Dynamic scapula support with a mobile orthosis
The scapula is essential for the function of the human shoulder. Different diseases or traumata can lead to a lack of movement capability and strength in the muscles that control the scapula. This weakness results in a reduction of the capability of the shoulder complex.
"The Ascent of the Robots" nominated for the SCINEMA International Science Film Festival
The movie «Ascent of the robots», which has been produced by Leon Riener in collaboration with ETH Zurich and the RSL and SMS Labs, has been nominated for the SCINEMA International Science Film Festival 2021 in Adelaide, Autralia. The SCINEMA is the largest Science Film Festival in the Southern Hemisphere.
Marie Georgarakis receives the 2020 NCCR Robotics Best PhD Paper Award
She received the award for her paper, "Age-Dependent Asymmetry of Wrist Position Sense Is Not Influenced by Stochastic Tactile Stimulation", published in Frontiers in Human Neuroscience. The paper was the result of a large collaboration between several labs from ETH Zurich, EPF Lausanne, the University of Michigan and the Zurich University of Applied Sciences. Congratulations, Marie!
Documentary "The Ascent of the Robots" published
Documentary "The Ascent of the Robots" is now published. It was produced by Leon Riener and ETH Zurich, and tells the contributions of three science teams of ETH Zurich who took part in the “Art Safiental 2020”. Watch if they did manage to reach the summit with their robotic developments.
